Ms. Emily’s passion for the art of dance can be seen through her many accomplishments and continuous evolution as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. She began her dance career at a young age and moved audiences throughout Ontario, winning numerous overalls and national scholarships up until the completion of secondary school. Her education and qualifications in dance proceeded her secondary education.
Ms. Emily is a successful graduate of the Centennial College dance performance program, where she graduated with high distinction, demonstrated by her three scholarships. In addition to formal post-secondary dance qualifications and an array of performance experience in numerous disciplines of dance, Ms. Emily is also a fully certified ballet instructor through the British Association of Teachers of Dancing. She has experience in teaching and choreographing award-winning competitive routines to dancers ages four to adult.
Ms. Emily’s desire to contribute to the field of dance is such a core passion that she continues her connection with Centennial College. As a top graduate, Ms. Emily holds Chair of the Program Advisory Committee of the Centennial Dance Program where she contributes to the development and growth of the college program.
Ms. Emily has performed in the closing ceremony of the Pan Am Games and has worked with brands such as L’Oreal and artists such as Billy Talent. Emily puts passion into everything she does and truly believes that you can live a life full of love, laughter and fun all while working hard to achieve your biggest dreams. She strives to bring out that passion in all her students.
Dance has been a part of Ms. Stephanie’s life for 25 years, she started dancing at the age of six and this will be her seventeenth year teaching dance. Ms. Stephanie grew up studying and teaching the BATD syllabus in tap and jazz, the CDTA syllabus in ballet and was most recently introduced to the ADAPT syllabus in tap and jazz, as well. She has always received the highest achievement in all dance examinations.
Ms. Stephanie has won numerous medals, trophies, scholarships, and special awards, both as a dancer and teacher. Her choreography has received top choreography awards at various competitions. Ms. Stephanie qualified for the World Dance Championships with tap dancing, held in Germany. As much as she loves the creative part of dance, she is first and foremost a teacher that concentrates on developing strong technique in her dancers. Ms. Stephanie is experienced in teaching all ages and levels in tap, jazz, musical theatre, open, lyrical, ballet, kinder dance and hip-hop and with tap being her personal specialty.
Teaching is such an integral part of Ms. Stephanie’s personal philosophy which is shown by her achievement in receiving a Bachelor of Education degree at Lakehead University and her status as an Ontario Certified Teacher.
Edz brings forth a fresh uniqueness and level of creativity to Hip Hop instruction. He focuses on the history, foundations and technique required to establishing a strong hip hop dancer prior to hitting the choreography aspect of the dance style. His unparalleled style of hip hop incorporates traces of jazz, contemporary, salsa and afro dance.
Edz is a three time full dance scholarship recipient at OIP Dance Centre (Toronto). Edz has received vigorous training at OIP (Toronto) and BDC (New York City). In addition, he was recently in The Motivating Excellence- Intensive Program series with world renowned choreographer Rhapsody James. Edz has worked with some of the most renowned hip hop choreographers and performers in the Canadian Music scene including Danny Davalos, Latoya Robinson and Esie Mensah.
Edz has over eight years of experience in teaching as well as experience in various competitions as choreographer and judge; such as, O.U.C.H Ontario Universities Competition for Hip Hop (Toronto), Dance Wars (Ottawa), Jack of all Styles (Ottawa) and Dancehall King Ottawa. Additional work credits include: Mia Martina, Waka Flocka, Massari, We Day Commercial, Much Music Video Awards 2015 and Blake Mcgrath.
Edz is always looking to branch out and share his love of dance with anyone who seeks to learn and grow. He aims to inspire TDS dancers to embrace their individuality and creativity!
Ms. Isabella began her accomplished dance career at the age of 4. Through the numerous programs she has enrolled in, Ms. Isabella studied almost every genre offered to her both recreationally and competitively, particularly specializing in contemporary, jazz and ballet of various syllabi. Ms. Isabella graduated with distinction from the professional training program of the Quinte Ballet School of Canada and moved forward to expand her knowledge in dance at the International Dance Program of Canada. Her studies have been continuously recognized with awards and scholarships, including Dance Ontario’s honorary 2015 Jacque Foesier Youth Dance Award.
Ms. Isabella learned fast that her passion for dance was beyond her own performing. In 2012, she began filling her free nights with the opportunity to teach the next generation. Ms. Isabella is a certified jazz instructor with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing, though enjoys teaching all genres further including ballet, lyrical/contemporary and hip hop.
Retiring from the competitive dance scene in 2013, she returned to competitions as a choreographer a short year after. Ms. Isabella has been recognized with many overall standings and choreography accolades since, including placing first at the 2017 Embrace Dance Choreography Competition. Aside from competitive choreography, she has choreographed for special events such as Tyler Shaw Live In Concert. Ms. Isabella aspires to continuously expand her name in choreography all throughout her years.
